Adorableness to Counteract the Cranky Post of a Few Days Ago

So, I am sitting here "studying", except for that I am not because there is a small person helping, and I yell for Geoff that I need water. Because let me tell you, yo, studying makes a gal thirsty. And Hazel yells, "Dad, I need water too!" For some reason, this strikes me as adorable.

Also, she is coloring with "mom's pink pen", aka my highlighter. And, whilst drawing she is narrating. Apparently, she is drawing something with wings, and then she proceeds to show me how wings work. With all the arm flapping that a two-year-old can muster. Two wings. Oh, it is an airplane. Honestly, I thought it was a snail.

Currently, she is spinning in our office chair and singing "Frere Jacque." (you know the French song, I am not sure of the spelling and not willing to Google it)

Maybe you had to be there.

Totally better than studying for the stupid CPA exam. Which I will probably fail. And then I will cry. Boo hoo.

Oh, and then there is the story of the "not clapping." So, the other night at dinner, Hazel does something fantastic (I forget what), and decides it is worthy of.... I don't know, something. And proceeds to "not clap", which is, of course, where she brings her hands not quite together. Geoff asks her what she is doing and she replies, "not clapping." Again, maybe you had to be there.

CPA, Here I come.

I am testing out Post Options. If it works, this will post exactly (ish) when I am starting to take my next CPA test (#2 out of 6, assuming I pass everything the first time, like 8% of people do).

Instead of partying after this one, like I did with the last one, I will be going to the dentist. Hooray for dental hygiene. I will be getting the gas.

Wish me luck. I'm gonna need.

PS I will post a real entry, with pictures, after my test. Maybe even before I go to the dentist.

PPS It looks to me like the "post options" (Now! With Extra Sarcasm) do not so much work. As I can see my posting at it is 10:10pm on 04/28/08. Stupid Blog.

Meadow has been Sacked.... Now for the Dancing Lamas

Ok, so Meadow has her first big test in 2 days, so I am filling in.

So... as I'm not a regular blogger, you will have to bear with me. Speaking of "bears", it snowed a bunch the last day of March. Grandma Marilyn and myself helped Hazel build a monster snowman that started to look like a polar bear. It was probably of a similar height and weight of a real one. Notice the lean? It toppled to the left within a few hours of this photo. It was restacked multiple times after several more topples over the next few days.

Hazel has been watching a lot of TV and her favorite show is "The Simple Life". Paris Hilton is her idol. One particular day she was wearing her shades and dancing around chanting "That's Hot!". The paparazzi snapped the following pic.

In all reality her favorite show is either Signing Time or Yo Gabba Gabba, and doesn't watch that much tv. I am pretty sure she has no idea who Paris Hilton is. Its a cute sunglasses picture though.

"The Simple Life" hasn't been on for at least a year. GOSH! She could have watched the season premier of "My Name is Earl" and seen Skanky Hilton.

Good job on the update.

The giant snowman photo is my fave. Did I miss the dancing llamas?

Geoff- You are a pretty dang good blogger! Thanks for the update - wish Meadow mad luck for me!

Pros and Cons of having a two-year-old

Horrible things Hazel has done today, that make me absolutely crazy:

Cute things Hazel has done that have helped me NOT want to sell her to the gypsies:

Aaahhh, the joys of children. Of course I only know of bad things secondhand, because my children were all perfect. Just roll with it, they are soon off to college, or at least kindergarten. Sorry about the kick to the breatbone (the rest of the bad stuff too.)

Man, hearing all those things makes me really excited to have Hazel/Jenni day on Saturday. OH WAIT! She is usually very good when it is just the two of us (knock on wood)

ha! The push-up thing is hilarious. Actually, it's all hilarious. And I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with a two-year-old. I woke up this morning to Nathan all sticky w/a sucker he had found in the kitchen after he undid the childlock on his door. We should get together to vent :p.

Yes, an upate with pictures.

We knew the day was coming, but we didn't think it would be so soon. Hazel official designation has been made:
Okay, true story: Hazel and Geoff, and Zoey and Jayson, went to the dinosaur park in Ogden and had a fabulous time. In fact, Hazel and I were discussing what she wanted to do tomorrow (Geoff's day off) and she said, "Dino Park!" But with more capitals and exclamation points.

We (Geoff) washed the couch cover today and Hazel realized that the cushions were movable (i.e. REmovable) and she is able to play in, around and under them. Hooray for couch cushions!

An outfit from a few days (weeks, maybe) ago. Shauntil brought over a load of Tay clothes (thanks, Shauntil, my child would be far less dressed without you). At first Hazel was all "eh." But then she woke up* and was like, "MERMAID JAMMIES!!" Yes, Hazel now owns mermaid jammies, which she loves almost as much as the cow shirt. Here she is seen modeling the lovely ensemble, which she has accessorized with a swimsuit. She slept in this exact outfit. The next day (or there abouts), I told her she had to get dressed or she couldn't come out of her room. She came out in only a swimsuit (and a diaper, thankfully) and I said, "Hazel, really? A swimsuit?" To which she replied, "Swimsuit or jammies, mommy pick." Thus, she wore a swimsuit most of the day.
*Actually, it was like four hours later when I asked her what she wanted to wear to bed.
PS, Blogger spellcheck does not agree with my spelling of "jammies". Stupid Blogger spellcheck, I don't agree with YOUR spelling of jammies.

Well I spell it jammies, too. Oh my-she's just a bit of a smarty, huh? Loved the mommy pick comment, lol!

Are you going to post the picture of Geoff's dental hygenist?
